Football training drills
Ten sessions with the setup, the coaching points and the numbers — how many players, how long, how big the area. Open any of them in the free drill designer and change it for your squad.
- Rondo 4v2 (Rondo) — Keep the ball under pressure. Body open before it arrives, first touch out of the press.
- Rondo 5v2 (Rondo) — Two touch, then one. Find the player behind the pressing pair.
- Possession 4v4 + 2 (Possession) — Keep the ball with two neutrals. Six passes = one point, switch of play = two.
- Passing diamond (Passing) — Pass, move, receive across the body. Both feet, then one touch.
- Y-drill: set and finish (Finishing) — Pass in, lay off, third-man run finishes first time.
- Crossing and finishing (Finishing) — Wide overlap, early cross, two runners attacking near and far post.
- Pressing trigger 6v4 (Pressing) — Win it inside six seconds. The trigger is the pass into the sideline.
- Transition 3v2 to goal (Transition) — Attack the space before it closes. Three seconds from turnover to shot.
- Warm-up: two-touch square (Warm-up) — Feet and eyes on before anything competitive. Two touch, head up on the second.
- Defending 1v1 (Defending) — Show him where you want him, then take it. Side-on, not square.
